Sue is a passionate psychologist with over 20 years’ experience working with young children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of learning, behavioural and mental health issues. Sue is committed to providing psychological services that are inclusive, culturally aware, safe, and welcoming.
Sue has an extensive background in education and understands the psychological needs of school aged children. She has expertise in a number of standardised cognitive assessments, academic assessments, and emotional/behavioural assessments to assist with accurate diagnosis and understanding of a child's needs.
Sue’s personal style is empathetic, and values driven. She draws from a range of evidence-based interventions, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Schema Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy to address individual needs.
Sue has experience and interest working with a number of presentations including depression, anxiety (including OCD), post-traumatic stress, deliberate self-harm, emotional dysregulation, academic and work-related stress, and relationship difficulties. As a trained Child Consultant, Sue also brings meaningful and safe inclusion of the children’s voice to positively shape post-separation parenting.
Sue believes in a collaborative and flexible approach, that focuses on building a strong therapeutic alliance and tailors treatment approaches to the specific needs of individuals.
